Note: Students at UW–Madison become certified to teach middle and high school English, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies subjects only through graduate-level course work, not as undergraduates. Information about the new master's degree program is available on the Curriculum and Instruction website. Science certification areas include Biology, Chemistry, Earth and Space Science, Environmental Studies, Physics, and Broad Field Science. UW–Madison offers certification in the Social Studies areas of Economics, Geography, History, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology and Broad Field Social Studies.
