The School of Education offers minors for some of its teacher education students. One of the Elementary Education options requires students to select a minor area of study chosen from an approved list.
Secondary Education students pursuing a major in a Social Studies or Science subject may complete a minor in another other Social Studies or Science subject without seeking additional approvals or submitting an additional program application—for example, pairing a History major and Psychology minor or a Biology major and Chemistry minor.
Occasionally, Secondary Education students may choose a minor in an area that crosses program areas—examples include Mathematics and Physics or English and a World Language. In such cases, an additional program application must have been submitted for the second area of study and approved by both program coordinators.
