Cooperatives Requirement

This licensing requirement is mandatory for all Social Studies and Agri-Science Education certification students. Students with previous degrees in their subjects must also monitor and complete this requirement for certification and licensure.

Complete a Cooperatives course in any one of the following ways:

• Ag and Applied Econ 323 Cooperatives, 3. Offered during fall semester only.
• Ag Econ 422 Cooperation, 3
• Ag Econ A40 Cooperatives, no credit. Offered by correspondence through UW-Extension. Tuition waiver may be available for Ag Econ 422. Students must see EAS for an academic action granting permission to enroll in these courses.

Students typically complete the cooperatives requirement after being admitted to the Secondary Social Studies program. These courses do not count toward the Economics area in the Broad Field Social Studies major.
